Located at the junction of Middle Road and Prinsep Street, the 12-storey Singapore Pools
Building will house its office departments, main branch, draw hall, “live” sports entertainment, as well as other office tenants.
Powered by the latest DALI-Gateways DG/S 1.64.1.1 (1fold) from ABB, that we have installed in the building, KNX controls and monitors the DALI lighting system with the gateway by means of broadcast, single or group control.

A 15m height lighting pole (Viabizzuno’s Paolo Bilbao) located at the entrance of the buildings giving different lighting and scene effects whereby it is controlled by a DMX system. The KNX/DMX is a communication gateway between KNX protocol and DMX protocol. It allows to regulate the channel supported by the DMX protocol and executes different scenes. The architect wanted to give the guests a welcome mood of the outdoor light pole when back home.
Some of the different trades in the building like lighting, shading, heating, air-conditioning, alarm system, energy management and interfaces to other systems are integrated into the KNX system. This allows for a uniform internal and external operation and monitoring.

Located at Mapletree Business City, Unilever’s office features cuddle booths, meeting rooms and phone booths are powered by KNX/EIB motion sensor technology. Powered with ABB Ceiling Presence Detectors and the theBen 24V Presence Detectors.
Passive Infrared Sensors (“PIR”) motion detectors outside provide greater security. PIR presence detectors enable presence dependent and energy saving for lighting and heating. In contrast to a circular detection area, the square detection area of the new Theben presence detectors has several advantages. Firstly, it makes planning easier in square rooms, and there are also no overlapping or “blind spots” that you can get with circular detection areas. A large room can be completely monitored with just a few devices. With its constant light control, the presence detector constantly measures the light levels in the room. As the natural light brightness level changes, the presence detector controls the lighting units to maintain a set light level value (Lux). This creates the correct working environment and saves energy, and when no one is present the lights are turned off.
To date in 2019, we are managing up to 146 presence sensors in the Unilever’s office located on Level 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Jurong Port Pte Ltd is a port operator headquartered in Singapore. Jurong Port, which operates the only multi-purpose port in Singapore, handles bulk, break-bulk and containerised cargo. The port welcomes over 40,000 vessel-calls annually. Our project revolves around the Jurong Port Admin building which is primarily used for housing offices and eateries.
Powering the BMS System is a BacNET to KNX/EIB gateway to communicate with our KNX/EIB Lighting Control System. To date, we are providing consultancy and technical services to the upkeep of the lighting facility in conjunction with the support from CSC Technical Services Pte Ltd.
